EXTRADOSED / PT / MERDEKAN BRIDGE /  AZERBAIJAN

Description of the Work:
The bridge is an Extradosed Cable-Stayed Bridge. The deck is a post-tensioned
box girder supported by 14 extradosed cables. The concrete deck is
suspended from the pylon by 7 stay cables arranged in two planes located
in the center of the deck. Each stay cable is linked to the deck with two fixed
active anchorages and to the pylon with a saddle. Vertical PT bars were
used at these anchoring points to strengthen the deck locally. The deck is
composed of 4 spans: 35 m+2x75 m+35 m
The width of the deck is 23.55 m.
It is a 2-cell box girder bridge.
