“Monumental Abutment” Design...

It has been decided to apply the reinforced concrete Incremental Launching Method in the viaducts located on the motorway sections of Çanakkale 1915 Bridge and Motorway project, considering the economic, time-related and aesthetic benefits that this method will bring.

In total, three viaducts (namely V6, V1, V8 in the order of construction) will be constructed incl. their design.

The deck has been designed more economically compared to usual section designs thanks to innovative strut box sections. The three viaducts are scheduled to reach completion by the end of the 34-months’ commitment performance period.
